Permanent public art installation
The sculpture CUBE BESIDE THE TAUBER was created as part of the art residency wildbad, Rothenburg, and has been a permanent installation in public space since 2018.

Inside the concrete cube lies a complete tree from the surrounding park, charred on-site over several days. The massive block of concrete functioned as a kiln for the intricate carbonization process. Today, the former “oven” is sealed with a glass plate, allowing viewers to observe the charred tree from above. The surrounding area has been sown with grass, integrating the sculpture gently into the landscape.
